Questions, answered
Do I have to learn new shortcuts?
No. You already know Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, and Ctrl+V. The only addition is pressing a number to choose which of the eleven clipboards to use.
Does normal copy and paste still work?
Yes. Press Ctrl+C or Ctrl+V without a number and it behaves exactly like standard Windows.
How many clipboards do I get?
Ten numbered slots (0–9) plus your regular system clipboard — eleven in total.
Where do my copied items go? Is anything saved or uploaded?
Everything stays in memory on your PC for the current session only. Nothing is written to disk, sent over the internet, or stored after you close the app.
What kind of content can it hold?
Text. The current version stores text clipboard content; images and files aren't part of it.
How does installation work?
Download the installer and run it once. It copies LiveClipboard into your AppData folder, starts the app immediately — you'll see its icon in the system tray at the bottom-right — and registers it to launch automatically with Windows. It's per-user and needs no administrator rights.
Does it start automatically with Windows?
Yes — auto-start is set up during installation so your clipboards are always ready. If you'd rather it didn't, find the LiveClipboard executable in your AppData folder and run it with --uninstall-startup to turn auto-start off (--install-startup turns it back on).
How do I uninstall it?
Quit the app (right-click the tray icon → Exit, or press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Q), then delete the LiveClipboard executable from your AppData folder. Running it with --uninstall-startup first removes the launch-at-login entry.
What if a shortcut conflicts with another app?
Press the pause shortcut (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+P) to instantly switch slot shortcuts off and make Ctrl+C/V fully standard again; press it again to resume.
Does it work in every program?
It works system-wide across normal applications. For programs running as administrator, start LiveClipboard with the same elevation so the shortcuts reach them.
Which versions of Windows are supported?
Windows 10 and Windows 11. LiveClipboard is Windows-only.
